How Scribe handles your data
Scribe respects your privacy and is designed to function with minimal data collection.
Data Collection
Scribe does not collect or store user data except in the following cases:
- If you choose to log in, we store your authentication details securely so you can access your account.
- If you highlight text in YouTube transcripts while using Scribe, we store the highlight timings so you can access them later.
Data Usage
- Any data processed by Scribe is used only to provide the core functionality of the web app, app, or extension.
- We do not share, sell, or use your data for purposes outside of Scribe’s intended features.
User Control
- You can use Scribe without logging in.
- You can delete highlights and videos linked to your account from the home page.
- You can delete your account at any time.
